Habitat for Humanity - Sault Ste. Marie - About Us

What Is the ReStore?

ReStores are HFH retail outlets that collect and recycle overstocked, seconds, gently used, new items, discontinued, and salvageable materials suitable for home construction, repair, renovation and decor. These items are donated by manufacturers, retailers, contractors, and individuals The ReStore generates funds to support Habitat’s build program while reducing the amount of used materials headed for our landfill site.  It is an environmentally friendly store which makes sense!

Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie and Area’s ReStore opened in June 2006.

Habitat ReStores provide a source of affordable building materials to builders, contractors and “do-it-yourselfers”

Our shelves are stocked with new and gently used renovation supplies donated to us by homeowners and businesses. Even new items are available at discounted prices.

We constantly receive new inventory from a variety of generous supporters, so every trip to the ReStore offers a unique opportunity to discover a fantastic deal, a one-of-a-kind item, or the missing piece in your design inspiration.
