- January 2009 - Habitat begins accepting applications for our fourth house build.
- April 2009 - Habitat reopens application process due to low response from prospective applicants.
- April 2009 - Two new employees join the team through a Targeted Wage Subsidy! Welcome Amy and Marney!
- April 30th, 2009 - Habitat breaks ground on 4th home build.
- June 16th, 2009 - Habitat holds our 3rd Anniversary BBQ and Sale Day at the ReStore. Serving Sault Ste. Marie and Area for three years, reducing waste and saving money!
- June 19th, 2009 - Habitat pulls lucky winning ticket belonging to Helen MacDonald for our ATV Raffle.
- July 25th, 2009 - Habitat hosts annual AGM with guest speaker, Cathy Borowec from Habitat Canada.
- July 2009 - Site supervisor joins the team, Welcome Pam!
- August, 2009 - Habitat's Family Selection Committee finalizes applicants and interviews. New family is chosen to purchase the fourth Habitat home in Sault Ste. Marie and Area. Several members of Habitat's Executive Board, Family Selection Committee, Construction Committee and Faith Relations visited the family to tell them the great news.
- August, 2009 - Habitat SSMA is chosen as a recipient of a $5000 grant through Habitat's Sustainable Build Fund. Our newest build will be energy efficient and green!
