Help build a home and hope for a local family. Monetary gifts and product donations to the ReStore are vital to the ongoing work of Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie and Area. Donations of $10 or more will receive a tax receipt if requested.

Donate to the ReStore

To donate to the ReStore, please call 941-9646 and speak to one of our volunteers. We may be able to pickup the larger items with our truck, but we ask that smaller items that fit into cars be dropped off at your convenience.

What materials can be donated?

ReStore accepts reusable building materials such as items listed above. Donations are accepted daily so instead of throwing old tools and materials in the garbage, retailers and contractors are urged to call the local ReStore to find out if their materials can be used somewhere else.

Retailers and manufacturers can donate remnant and end-of-line product, scratch-and-dent, discontinued inventory, paint miss-tints and customer returns to the ReStore and avoid the cost of returning them to the manufacturer.

What We Accept?

Tools - including all hand and power tools: hammers, screwdrivers, drills, wrenches, etc.

Furniture - including couches, chairs, kitchen tables and chairs, coffee and end tables, television stands, dressers and desks.

Doors - including interior and exterior doors with or without frames.

Cabinets and Counter Tops - for kitchens, vanities for bathrooms, as well as toilets, sinks and tubs.

Lighting Fixtures - such as wired lamps and direct wired fixtures.

Paint

Windows - screens, doors, blinds, hardware

Roofing - materials, such as shingles, tar paper, flashing and nails.

Lumber - trim, plywood, panelling

Electrical - wire, plugs, plates and hardware

Mirrors - must have a frame

Large Appliances - such as refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, dryers and dishwashers.

Mattresses and box spring (unless new in wrap)
